Roles

Every project member in CueDB must be assigned a project privilege and one or more roles—like composer, music editor, orchestrator, mixer, or music supervisor. This assignment not only helps in marking out distinct roles but also automatically creates member columns in the Cue Overview. This simplifies cue assignment, workload calculation and progress tracking.

Further, roles also shape access and editing permissions for various discussion channels and fields within CueDB. For instance, you may want an orchestrator to view all fields but only edit those related to orchestration. Similarly, a mixer may have commenting access to the mix discussion channel, but no access to the production or composition channels.
