Create a Recording Project

Before we can create recording sessions, we need a recording project. On the Sessions page, click on the "New Recording Project" button. A modal window will open up. Select if you are recording music for an existing CueDB project or if it's for a freestanding project. We will describe the two approaches below:

Recording Music for an Existing CueDB Project

Note that all connected projects must have the same owner. Only projects where you are the owner or an administrator are available to be connected.

Connecting projects enables you to easily add cues from existing CueDB projects to your recording orders. After selecting the project(s), click 'Next' to proceed.

You will then need to provide a title for the recording project, invite members, and optionally write a custom invitation message. CueDB will automatically pre-populate the list with members who have project privileges above 'Viewer'. Feel free to add or remove members or you can adjust the list later after the project is created.

Recording Music for a Freestanding Project

Click "NEXT" to proceed.

You will then need to provide a title for the recording project, invite members, and optionally write a custom invitation message if you invite other members. Feel free to invite members after the recording project has been created.
