Import Cues From CSV File
CueDB can import cues from a CSV file by mapping the column headers of the CSV file with the table headers in CueDB.
Make sure that a header named "Cue #" exists in the CSV file, since that is the primary key that is being used to create new cues and to update existing cues.
In CueDB
If your project uses a frame rate, make sure your CueDB project's frame rate matches that of your CSV timecodes. You can check and adjust this in CueDB under "Project Settings > General".
Click on "Tools > Import Cues" in CueDB.
Choose "CSV".
Choose how you would like to map Cue #.
- Choose your file and click on "Preview".
- To exclude specific cues from the import, simply uncheck them. If you prefer not to include titles, uncheck the "Title" checkbox.
Click "Import" if everything looks correct.
CueDB automatically maps standard column headers from your CSV file to corresponding columns in CueDB. However, it doesn't map custom fields.
If a cue with the same Cue # already exists in your CueDB document, it will be tagged as 'UPDATE' rather than 'NEW'. This will update the timecodes and, if checked, the title of the existing cue.
It's important to note that only the timecodes and titles are updated for existing cues; no other data is modified.
